Chakra Herb and Oil Guide

Hey loves!

In light of the Spring season and all the herbs blooming, I put together a Chakra Herb and Oil Guide. Energetics plays a key role in healing, and maintaining balance and harmony. Our friends that are peeping out of the Earth this time of year (in the North East at least) can bring much more than a refreshed feeling when looking at your backyard. Their energy enhances or balances the energetic flow present within us. Please refer to the following list when doing Chakra healing work.


Herbs and Spices: burdock, cloves/clover, dandelion, rosemary, horseradish,

hot paprika, chives, cayenne, pepper

Essential oils: vetiver, peppermint, frankincense, cedarwood, myrrh, carrot, cardamon, clove, oakmoss, patchouli, laurel, ginger, sandalwood and benzoin.


Herbs and Spices: coriander, calendula, fennel, gardenia, licorice, cinnamon, vanilla, carob, sweet paprika, sesame seeds, caraway seeds

Essential oils: jasmine, ylang ylang, cinnamon, petitgrain, tangerine, myrrh, pine cypress, coriander, oakmoss, rose, rose geranium, geranium, vetiver, clary sage and patchouli

Solar Plexus

Herbs and Spices: anise, celery, cinnamon, lily of the valley, marshmallow, mints, ginger, mints (peppermint, spearmint, etc.), melissa, turmeric, cumin, fennel

Essential oils: ginger, ylang ylang, lemon, lemongrass, carrot, cade, juniper, cedarwood, melissa black pepper, rosemary, marjoram, oregano, thyme, vetiver, cinnamon bark, peppermint, cardamom, citronella, valerian and spikenard


Herbs and Spices: cayenne, hawthorn berries, jasmine, lavender, marjoram, rose, basil, sage, thyme, cilantro, parsley

Essential oils: rose, benzoin, melissa, neroli, frankincense, bergamot, carrot, inula, lavandin, lavender, spikenard, oregano, marjoram, black pepper, sage, sandalwood, tansy, everlast, hyssop, cinnamon bark, laurel, camphor and amni visnaga


Herbs and Spices: coltsfoot, peppermint, red clover blossoms, sage, salt, lemon grass

Essential oils: lavender, Roman and German Chamomile, spearmint, catnip, frankincense, cypress, geranium, spruce, sandalwood and carrot seed

Brow/ 3rd eye

Herbs and Spices: eyebright, juniper, mugwort, poppy, rosemary, lavender, poppy seed, mugwort

Essential oils: wormwood, frankincense, cedar, everlasting, spruce, pine, terebinth, rose, rosemary, clary sage, oregano and marjoram, thyme and linden


Herbs and Spices: gotu kola, lavender, lotus

Essential oils: benzoin, cistus, frankincense, myrrh, sandalwood, spruce, angelica, bois de rose, lavenders, spikenard, rose, ravensara, basil and rosemary

My previous blog posts provide insights on how to use herbs and essential oils but it is always recommended to drink herbs as a tea and inhale oils on a cotton round.
